Peel and Stick Tiles

Peel and Stick Tiles

Before

Let me tell you, I am not one to remodel or do much of any home improvements by myself. My idea of home improvement is hanging a picture or screwing in a lightbulb. About a year and a half ago, I bought a move-in ready house, but little color or style throughout the home. I really wanted to show my style as none of the homes I lived in before this were MINE. Renting had its advantages because if something broke, the owners would fix it and any maintenance was their responsibility as well. Renting has a huge disadvantage of leaving the walls alone unless you want to repaint or return things back to the original.

Clean the Wall

Something Other Than Paint

So, I have been looking a little more at what I can do to make the house I own, my home. Paint surely livens up a room and helps it to look refreshed. Most of my walls are still white and I’m okay with that right now. I love the look of backsplashes. It just makes it look more finished.

I got on Amazon and searched my local big box store for some ideas to make my kitchen look wonderful. So, I was finally able to find a color that I loved and a peel and stick tile that was easy to use. I used a simple paper cutter and scissors to cut the tiles.

First thing, clean the wall completely. Measure the tile and the wall to know where to cut using the “measure twice and cut once” process. Then place the tile on the wall. If you make a mistake, remove it and adjust it. Once the tile is on the wall for 24 hours, it will be difficult to remove. Have you tried the peel and stick tile? Have you used it for something other than a backsplash?
