Better for the Environment
Using cloth rather than paper has helped in not only helped my wallet, but it helped the environment. Cloth works better than paper.
No Waste
About a year ago, I decided to stop buying trash. I know what that sounds like. Why would I buy trash in the first place? That makes no sense. Hear me out. Every day many of us use a paper towel to dry our hands, to wipe our faces, to clean up spills, etc. This drove me crazy that every two weeks I bought paper towels and paper napkins for purpose of throwing them in the trash.
I no longer have paper towels or napkins. Not only did this help the environment, but this helped in saving me lots of money. It was a rather easy transition. First, I cut up some old t-shirts to use as paper towels. Then I bought some napkins as well as made some with fabric. Everyone has their own color if they want to use it for a second meal rather than washing it every time. I will not go back to using paper napkins and paper towels.
Cloth Napkins
My favorite place to obtain cloth for napkins is the thrift store. It’s not even necessary to sew most of the time.
